TLC has given the go-ahead to a new reality series tentatively titled Candy Queen. The show will revolve around Jackie Sorkin, who owns the LA-based candy and events company, The Hollywood Candy Girls, as she plans the expansion of her business.

 

Angels Among Us

CMT bows a new series called Angels Among Us on Thursday, September 8 at 9 pm. The program tells inspirational stories that can only be explained by acts of divine intervention. The first episode is about three people who were in the World Trade Center on 9/11 and survived.

 

The Layover

American Handyman

The battle to prove who is the best non-professional handyman or woman in the nation returns with HGTV's All American Handyman on Sunday, September 4 at 9 pm. During the six-episode series, hosted by Molly Culver, twenty highly skilled contestants will compete in a succession of timed "fix-it" quizzes and construction challenges to determine who will win the coveted title of All American Handyman, a $10,000 shopping spree at Sears and a show development deal with HGTV. Throughout the competition, the contestants will do their best to impress three experts - HGTV's Mike Holmes (Holmes on Homes), Scott McGillivray (Income Property) and a weekly special guest judge.

Go big or go home - that's the motto for season nine of the Bravo’s, Top Chef, as it heads to the state that does everything bigger - Texas. Possibly the worst kept locale secret in this moment's culinary universe, the new season of Top Chef will heartily embrace the Lone Star State's adage that all things are bigger as, in a series first, the production will head to three cities within the season - Austin, Dallas and San Antonio. Season nine will also showcase many surprising twists and turns and never-before-seen challenges and events. Returning to the judges table is host Padma Lakshmi and head judge, chef Tom Colicchio, alongside judges Gail Simmons and new this season, famed chef and restaurateur Emeril Lagasse and critically acclaimed chef Hugh Acheson. Top Chef: Texas will air later this fall.

 

Mad Fashion

Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop

Twenty-five years after crack cocaine ravaged American cities, a new VH1 Rock Doc explores how the drug also transformed popular culture, especially hip-hop. The latest addition to the Emmy-winning franchise, Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation, premieres Sunday, September 18 at 10 pm on VH1.

 

Border Wars

Season three of National Geographic Channel's series Border Wars debuts September 4 with stacked episodes at 9 pm. Starting September 11, the series settles into its regular time slot of 10 pm on Sundays. Border Wars follows embedded officers and agents of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as they defend the border crossing between the US and Mexico.

 

The Client List

Lifetime is developing a new one-hour series, The Client List based on the network's successful 2010 original movie of the same name. Jennifer Love Hewitt will star in and executive produce the series which is scheduled to premiere next year with 10 episodes.

 

Repo Games

Spike TV okayed four new series in addition to renewing its original series Repo Games for a second season with twenty new episodes for 2012. According to Spike TV, the four new series all contain "a distinctive theme of genuine men in high pressure situations where the stakes are real."

 

Psych

USA Network further is bringing back a sixth season of Psych this fall beginning October 12 at 10 pm. Starring James Roday and Dule' Hill, Psych has a number of guest stars lined up for the new season including Danny Glover, Kristy Swanson, Corey Feldman, Joey McIntyre, Malcolm McDowell, Jason Priestley, John Rhys Davies, Wade Boggs, Molly Ringwald and WWE Superstar The Miz.

 

Warehouse 13

Syfy granted a fourth season renewal for Warehouse 13, scheduling new episodes to return in 2012.

 

Leverage

In another renewal move, TNT is giving its drama Leverage starring Timothy Hutton a fifth season. TNT ordered 15 all-new episodes for the fifth season slated to premiere in summer 2012.

 

Made in America

A trio of original series launch on Travel Channel October 4: Made in America at 8 pm is a 13-episode series hosted by George Motz investigating various ingenious products made in this country.

 

Brickleberry

Network: Comedy Central

New animated series Brickleberry is going forward on Comedy Central. Production begins on the 10-episode series this fall with a planned roll out early next year. Brickleberry is about a group of forest rangers at a national park that is in danger of shutting down unless a newly hired ranger can retrain the staff to save the park.

 

Awkward

MTV announced today that it has picked up a second season of its critically acclaimed hit scripted comedy series Awkward. The show, which takes an irreverent look at the conflict, chaos and humor that defines teenage life, continues its season one run on Tuesday nights with 7 all-new remaining episodes. Season two will debut in 2012.

 

Dinosaur Revolution

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Following the excitement of a thrilling season three finale that brought back one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe, Cartoon Network today announced that Star Wars: The Clone Wars will premiere 22 all-new episodes for Season Four of the critically acclaimed CG-animated series from creator George Lucas and Lucasfilm Animation. The special, one-hour Season Four premiere event of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs Friday, September 16 at 8 pm.

 

Showhouse Showdown

In cities across America, local interior designers will square off to complete 10 room makeovers in each episode of HGTV's new series Showhouse Showdown, premiering on Monday, September 12 at 10 pm. During the series, hosted by popular TV personality and former star of The Bachelor Bob Guiney, two professional designers will take over two newly-built, identical model homes and install their most creative room designs. Armed with the same budget and schedule, the designers will battle it out to impress potential buyers during an open house tour. In the end, the potential buyers will vote for the designer who they believe wins the show house showdown.

Syfy will host a non-stop Labor Day weekend programming extravaganza -- September 2 through September 5 -- featuring a Star Trek: Next Generation marathon, two days of theatrical blockbusters and an all-day festival of werewolf and vampire movies.

 

Children’s Hospital

Adult Swim announced today that it has picked up a fourth season of Children’s Hospital, the irreverent, satirical comedy series created by and starring Rob Corddry. Adult Swim has ordered 14 new episodes for premiere in 2012, and principal photography will begin later this year on the hit comedy.

 

InkMaster

Dave Navarro has signed on to host Spike TV's InkMaster, the first-ever tattoo competition series. The eight one-hour episode series will premiere on Spike in January 2012.

 

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Following the death of Russell Armstrong, Bravo has decided to push back the season two premiere date of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by at least a week and possibly longer, per THR. The reality series was due to premiere September 5. Thus far, there have been suggestions the series will be canceled. Armstrong was the estranged husband of cast member Taylor Armstrong.

 

Chelsea Settles

Also in October, MTV premieres the new docu-series Chelsea Settles, a 12-episode series about Chelsea Settles, a 23-year old recent college grad who dreams of pursuing a fashion career in Los Angeles. The half-hour series follows Chelsea as she leaves her small town outside of Pittsburgh and begins a new start in L.A. Chelsea Settles opens October 11 at 11 pm with a one-hour episode followed by 30m episodes beginning October 18. The series will additionally debut on MTV channels internationally starting early next year.

 

A-List

Docu-reality series the A-List on Logo travels to Dallas for its next edition featuring a cast of socialite men and women who revel in all things fabulous, the dramatic, food and fashion. The A-List: Dallas premieres October 3 at 10pm with eleven one-hour episodes.

 

NFL: Turning Point

Versus gets its first ever NFL program when it debuts a new series called NFL: Turning Point, airing weekly during the NFL season. Each week, starting Thursday, September 15, 10PM, the show will go behind the scenes of two games--examining in depth the “turning point” of each contest. NFL: Turning Point will be seen Thursdays at 10 every week through November 3. On November 10, it moves back to midnight so as not to conflict with the NFL Network’s live games.

 

Braxton Family Values

When the sophomore season of WE tv's original series Braxton Family Values premieres with 19 episodes, the series moves to a new night on Thursdays beginning November 10 at 9p. The upcoming season, featuring the five Braxton sisters answers a slew of questions about what each is up to.

Carla Gugino has signed on to star in a new movie for TNT called Hide. She plays a police investigator looking into the murder of six missing women. It’s part of the net’s new franchise TNT Mystery Movie Night, set to debut in November.

 

Rocket City Rednecks

National Geographic Channel introduces viewers to five Southern guys characterized as redneck geniuses, who love to create rockets, shoot them off and drink beer. The geniuses, led by research scientist Travis Taylor all are from Huntsville, Alabama, home to NASA's Marshall Flight Center and the birthplace of the US space program. The 20-episode series titled Rocket City Rednecks launches September 28 at 9p and 930p.
