The Real Housewives of New York City

Network: Bravo

Bravo returns to the Big Apple when a fifth season of The Real Housewives of New York City debuts June 4 at 8p with a 90-minute super-sized episode. Three new housewives, Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson join the cast for season five that will already include Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer.

 

Keeping Up with the Kardashians

In the next new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E!, the show is expanding into 18 one-hour episodes, slated to premiere May 20 at 8p. The next edition of the series will catch viewers up on what each Kardashian family member is doing, including the revelation that patriarch Bruce feels he is taken for granted. The series, which moves to the new timeslot of Sundays at 9p, is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions. Also on May 20, E! debuts its newest series Mrs. Eastwood & Company at 9p.

 

William & Kate: One Year Later

TLC will celebrate the one-year anniversary of William and Kate with two programs on Saturday, April 28: William & Kate: One Year Later at 8PM and My Mother Diana, looking at how Princess Diana shaped the life of her eldest son, at 10PM.

 

American Guns

A new season of American Guns debuts on Discovery Channel April 25 at 8p. The new season revisits the Wyatt family and their Denver-based Gunsmoke gunsmith enterprise that is as busy as ever with custom orders and walk-in clients involving historic to outrageous weapons.

 

VH1's Storytellers

VH1’s acclaimed series VH1 Storytellers, in which musicians and song writers explain their creative process, returns with four new specials this spring. On May 21, the show features Jill Scott. Multi-platinum selling musician Jason Mraz appears on June 1, Norah Jones guests on the show on June 8 and roots rockers Grace Potter and the Nocturals are features on June 15.

 

American Ninja Warrior

Network: G4

The competition series American Ninja Warrior, dually airing on NBC and G4 kicks off next month. The two networks are teaming to search for the one athlete to be crowned the first American Ninja Warrior at the national finals in Las Vegas and also capturing the $500,000 cash prize. The series premieres on G4 with a two-hour episode May 20 at 8p and on NBC May 21 at 8p. Comedian Matt Iseman is back as host and he is joined this new season by Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley. Angela Sun is the show's sideline reporter. Following the premieres, new episodes will air on G4 Sundays at 8p

 

Adam Richman's Best Sandwich

Travel Channel personality Adam Richman stars in the 11-episode series Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America when it bows June 6 at 8p. The weekly series with 10 half-hour episodes and a one-hour finale, journeys with Richman as he visits various locales in search of the most delicious sandwich ever using his own BITE SCALE (B=Bread, I=Interior, T=Taste, E=Eating Experience).

 

Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness

MTV brings back Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness on Monday, April 30 with a special guest appearance by Justin Bieber. The premiere of new hidden camera show Money From Strangers follows at 9:30PM. In that show, comedian Jeff Dye snares unwitting contestants off the street to perform interactive impromptu pranks on a variety of unsuspecting victims.

 

My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding

NFL Draft

NFL Network is planning wall-to-wall coverage of the NFL Draft which takes place from Thursday, April 26 through Saturday, April 28. Live draft day coverage on Thursday and Friday begins at 10:00 AM with two-hour editions of Path to the Draft, followed by the 2012 NFL Draft Kickoff pre-draft show. Saturday’s live coverage kicks off at 9:00 AM CT. The draft itself starts at 7PM on Thursday, 6PM on Friday and 11:00 AM on Saturday. Draft-related programming begins on Monday and includes Mayock’s 2012 Mock Draft Presented by Fiat on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 PM hosted by Mike Mayock

 

World's Wildest Police Videos

Coast Guard Alaska

The Weather Channel brings back a second season of Coast Guard Alaska beginning next Wednesday, April 18 at 8p. Produced by Al Roker Entertainment, the series' new season opens by following Air Station Kodiak swimmers and rescue pilots on two dangerous rescue missions.

 

USA's Summer Original Series

USA Network announced summer premiere dates for 7 of their original series, beginning with Royal Pains and Necessary Roughness, June 6 at 9:00 and 9:00 pm. On Thursday June 14 Burn Notice and Suits return at 8:00 and 9:00, and new season of White Collar and Covert Affairs on Tuesday July 10 at 8:00 and 9:00. And Political Animals, starring Sigourney Weaver premieres in July.

 

Tia and Tamera

THE DEVILS RIDE

It's a bike club. It's a brotherhood. It's THE DEVILS RIDE premiering Tuesday, May 8 after DEADLIEST CATCH at 9pm on Discovery. For the first time Discovery goes inside the world of motorcycle clubs with the members of San Diego's Laffing Devils. THE DEVILS RIDE sports a diverse crew but one bonded by a commitment to each other and the club. Meet Laffing Devils president Gipsy, who must balance the club's growing ranks with pressure from older members to maintain the status quo. An ex-Marine who served in Iraq, Gipsy credits the club for helping him deal with the emotional scars of war. Then there's club VP, Billy the Kid, who waits in the wings wondering if he'll have the chance to lead the Laffing Devils. And younger member Snubz breaks all the biker stereotypes with his degree in finance and a full time corporate job.

TRAVEL CHANNEL will air new show, TRIP FLIP, sometime in June. The 13 half-hour episodes follow Bert Kreischer as he surprises unsuspecting American vacationers by throwing away their guidebook and taking them off-the-beaten-path. It's the vacation they never saw coming. Then in July we see the return of BIZARRE FOODS AMERICA, which premieres Monday, July 9 at 9pm ET/PT. This season chef, writer, and culinary explorer Andrew Zimmern continues ditching his passport because he's discovered that some of the strangest foods and most colorful characters in the world are right here in the good old USA. As always, Andrew explores what the locals eat and this season he'll get a taste of the unique foods and local traditions that can be found in our own backyard. So whether it's pig uterus hot dish in the Twin Cities or muskrat pate in the Motor City, Andrew's advice remains the same; "If it looks good, eat it!"

 

Breaking Bad

The fifth and final season of the critically acclaimed original drama series "Breaking Bad" premieres this July on AMC. From acclaimed writer/producer/director Vince Gilligan, the series follows the story of a Walter White, a milquetoast high school chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife and teenage son who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and with a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to gain financial security for his family, chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in this world. The series stars Bryan Cranston who won three consecutive Emmy(R) Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Walter White and Aaron Paul, who won the 2010 Emmy(R) winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Jesse Pinkman.

 

Bunheads

ABC Family has begun production on the new drama series, "Bunheads," filming in Los Angeles. Set to premiere on Monday, June 11th at 8:00pm CT, "Bunheads" is the tale of a Las Vegas showgirl who impulsively marries a man, moves to his sleepy coastal town, and takes an uneasy role at her new mother-in-law's dance school.

 

Hollywood Treasure

Season two of Hollywood Treasure joins Syfy's schedule starting May 22 at 9p. The series delves into the world of show business and pop culture memorabilia featuring collectibles expert Joe Maddalena owner of Profiles in History. The first two episodes in season two will highlight a costume Whitney Houston wore in The Bodyguard film; items from the TV series Lost; the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard and more.

 

Flipped Off

Lifetime’s new series The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet, a celebrity interview show hosted by the British television personality, will debut on Thursday, April 26, 10PM. The show will feature in-depth interviews with some of the world’s most famous and influential women, including, among others, Jane Fonda, Lady Gaga, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, Eva Longoria, Kelly Preston, Alicia Keys, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Donna Karan, Ivanka Trump, Olivia Wilde and Gabby Sidibe.

HGTV announced that it has added several new original series to its 2012 programming lineup, including Mom Caves featuring Beth Stern, aka Mrs. Howard Stern, premiering May 12 at 7:30 pm. Design Star All Stars premieres on Tuesday, July 31 at 8pm, pits former HGTV Design Star runners-up against each other for a chance to win $25,000 and a guest appearance on an HGTV show. In another new series, national sports figures will become part of the real estate action in Scoring the Deal starting in October. Also for those who never tire of seeing how others live, the network's newest entertaining options include Million Dollar Rooms on April 24th at 7:30pm, and House Hunters: Where Are They Now?(w.t.). Buying and Selling is another show that is set to debut in September.

Barter Kings

A&E has commenced production on the new original real life series "Barter Kings," featuring teams of entrepreneurs pursuing items they want by trading other items that they currently own. Cash is never exchanged and value is subjective, but these barterers know the current market well and they will trade multiple times over to get to the object of their desire. The network has ordered 13 half-hour episodes scheduled to premiere this summer on A&E.

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, will have a recurring role on Tyler Perry’s TBS series For Better or Worse when it returns this summer. No word yet on the character she will play.

 

Craft Wars

Tori Spelling will host and executive produce TLC’s newest competition series Craft Wars, debuting on June 26. The ten-episode program puts a spotlight on the nearly $30 billion craft industry, celebrating a passion that is shared by more than half of all American households.

 

Hip Hop Squares

MTV2 is resurrecting the old Hollywood Squares concept as Hip Hop Squares, to be hosted by Peter Rosenberg, a D.J. from radio station Hot 97 in New York. The show, debuting on Tuesday, May 22, 10PM, will have many well-known rappers populating the squares, says the network.

This 10-episode series takes viewers to the Windy City to follow AJ Johnson who owns AJ’s of Chicago, and whose clientele includes a who’s who of actors and models, including Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett and Iman.

 

Untamed America

Josh Brolin has been tapped to narrate National Geographic Channel’s new four-hour HD miniseries Untamed America, coming this spring. The program will be simulcast on National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild and Spanish-language sister channel Nat Geo Mundo and focus on the mountains, desserts, forests and coasts of North, Central and South America.

 

Rambug

Buying and Selling

A trio of new series are joining HGTV's lineup, per B&C. Buying and Selling (wt) is a spinoff of the network's Property Brothers series where Jonathan Scott prepares a family's home for sale while brother Drew finds their next property. The series debuts in September. Two other new HGTV series are spinoffs of the House Hunters franchise: House Hunters: Where Are They Now? debuts in October and looks in on memorable House Hunters families to see what happened after finding their new house. Living Abroad picks up where House Hunters International leaves off and looks at what it takes for Americans to adjust to a new country. The premiere date of Living Abroad has not been set yet.

 

ABC Family Shows

ABC Family will have three nights of original productions this summer. Starting June 1, Bunheads, about a Vegas showgirl who opens up a dance school in a small town, will air on Mondays at 8PM. Pretty Little Liars returns for a third season on Tuesday, June 5, 7PM, followed by a second season of Jane By Design at 8PM. Wednesday, May 30, 7PM, Melissa & Joey are back. Baby Daddy debuts on Tuesday, June 20 at 7:30PM. That show is about a young man whose girlfriend leaves their baby on his doorstep. Beverly Hills Nannies, a docuseries premieres on Wednesday, July 11, 8PM.

 

Whale Wars: Viking Shores

Animal Planet will premiere the latest in the Whale Wars saga on Friday, April 27, 7PM, with a two-hour episode.  The new series Whale Wars: Viking Shores follows the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, led by Paul Watson, as they try to stop the annual Faroese ritual called The Grind where the people herd pilot whales to their shallow shores to be killed for their meat. On May 4, the show moves to an hour starting at 8PM.

 

Anger Management

FX premieres four comedy series, two new series and a pair of returning series all airing back to back on June 28, 2012. The series debut of acquired comedy Anger Management starring Charlie Sheen opens with stacked episodes at 8:00p and 8:30p. Subsequent weeks will have original episodes air at 8:30p on Thursdays preceded by the previous week's episode repeated at 8:00p.

 

Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp

Lifetime has picked up Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp, an all-new docu-series that will provide an exclusive, rare glimpse into Bristol Palin's real life as a young, single mother forging her own way in the world while living under the constant spotlight as a member of one of America's most high-profile families. The ten episode series will happen sometime in May. With never-before-granted access to Bristol's real-life experiences growing into womanhood, Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp will reveal how she adjusts to her life in Alaska, where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone and maintains the close relationship she holds with her parents, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings. Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding parenthood, family, relationships and career - giving viewers a unique look at how these true-to-life challenges test her resolve as she single-handedly writes the next chapter in her and Tripp's young life.

 

Around the World in 80 Plates

Bravo’s new culinary series will be officially called Around the World in 80 Plates Presented by Chase Sapphire Preferred. A co-branded campaign for the series, which debuts on May 9, is also part of the sponsorship deal.

The TV Land Awards 2012 will air on Sunday, April 29, 8PM and will be hosted by Kelly Ripa. The tenth anniversary event will honor Aretha Franklin with the Music Icon Award. The 90-minute telecast will feature “exhilarating musical performances and will reunite some of the most iconic celebrity TV casts.

 

Comedy Awards
