(All Times Eastern) - They say “April showers bring May flowers.” The same could be said for cable. We’ll shower you with new and returning programs in April and you can keep watching those programs that you have grown to love in May. Cable will keep you entertained this spring and hopefully beyond. Let’s take a look at what’s coming up this month. You can simply click on the links to get more information about any of the shows listed below.

New Shows of Interest

There are “spin-offs” as well as plenty of “spinning” going on with these new shows. Growing Up Chrisley on USA features the kids from Chrisley Knows Best as they move to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams. Portals to Hell is another paranormal research program from Travel Channel, this time featuring Jack Osbourne. And Fosse/Verdon on FX takes you back to the golden days of dancing and choreography in Hollywood. Explore five decades of brilliance and turmoil with the legendary choreographer Bob Fosse and the spectacular Broadway dancer Gwen Verdon. Here are some of the new shows for April.

Season Premieres

Because audiences love them, these shows have been renewed for new seasons. Critically acclaimed and award-winning Killing Eve expands from BBC America and will air this season on sister network AMC as well. The Last O.G. explores how times have changed for Tracy Morgan who is released from jail after 15 years behind bars. Chef Lawrence Page has big dreams to expand his Pink Tea Cup Soul Food brand in Hustle & Soul on WEtv. But if he is going to keep his dysfunctional “family” together, he’ll have to figure out how to keep them apart. These shows and more are some of the season premieres airing this month.

Special Presentations

Egypt remains a land shrouded in deep mystery and wonder. On April 7 at 9:00 pm (ET), Discovery will take viewers within the inner chambers of an excavation site in Expedition Unknown: Egypt Live. Here archaeologists recently uncovered a network of tunnels and tombs with 40 mummies believed to be part of the noble elite. Archeologists will open a 3,000-year-old limestone sarcophagus found inside the underground complex. The identity of the person inside remains unknown. Adventurer and avid explorer Josh Gates will host the program alongside Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass and Mostafa Waziri, the secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt.
