Bravo Media's New Interior Design Competition Series "Best Room Wins" Premieres Thursday, May 2 at 9:30PM ET/PT

March 15, 2019 / 10:12 AM

Bravo Media expands on its home and design programming with new competition series "Best Room Wins," hosted by interior design maven Genevieve Gorder, premiering on Thursday, May 2 at 9:30pm ET/PT. Each episode challenges two top interior designers to create luxury looks for less for couples in desperate need of a room make-over. The rooms will be judged by Genevieve Gorder along with ELLE DECOR Editor-In-Chief Whitney Robinson and a rotating guest judge. The winning designer will be featured in an online spread on ElleDecor.com. Guest judges this season include powerhouse interior designers Jonathan Adler, Kathryn M. Ireland, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Thom Filicia, Jeff Andrews and Jamie Bush along with Molly Sims, Jason Wu and India Hicks. For a sneak peek click here.

Using the design theme and inspiration from a multi-million-dollar estate, the designers must work to decorate a room that captures the couples' luxury vision while staying within a $25,000 budget. The judges will determine how well each designer executed their rooms and created a multi-million dollar look for their clients based on three criteria: the overall appeal of the design, how far they were able to stretch their budget and client satisfaction.

"Best Room Wins" is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television's Shed Media with Pam Healey, Lisa Shannon, Dean Slotar, Lisa Christy-Drusts, Esther Frank and Wall to Wall's Jeremy Dear all serving as executive producers.

Extraordinary, Customized Home Renos and Designs Showcased in New HGTV Series "One of a Kind" Premiering March 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

February 27, 2019 / 11:34 AM

Fun, unexpected and personalized room designs tell each family's unique story in HGTV's newest series, One of a Kind. Premiering on Tuesday, March 19, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the eight-episode series stars home renovator and interior designer Grace Mitchell as she creates eclectic, imaginative spaces in Fort Worth, Texas. In each episode, she learns the homeowners' personal stories and, with inspiration from their distinct personalities, rich family history, and individual passions, creates an innovative design plan. Backed by her colorful construction crew, Grace's hands-on approach and fresh ideas deliver exceptional renovations tailored to her clients. Throughout the series, Grace amazes homeowners with out-of-the-box ideas such as wall art made from a rusted antique car, a fiber optic night sky on a dining room ceiling and custom 3D wallpaper.

"Anyone can have a house that's catalog pretty, but a home should tell the story of the family that lives there," said Grace. "My team and I take boring, outdated homes and give them personality and style."

To kick off the series, Grace overhauls the main living space for a family that has its roots in the ice cream industry. She gives a nod to the family's history when she builds a whimsical ice cream parlor off the new modern kitchen. To further reflect the couple's full story throughout the home, she crafts personalized wallpaper from their collection of love notes, incorporates their favorite saying into the kitchen backsplash and finishes the cabinets in the new office with images of special places they've visited.

To learn more, fans can visit HGTV.com/OneofaKind for exclusive video with commentary from Grace and stunning before and after photos. Viewers also can interact via social media using #OneofaKind and can follow Grace on Instagram at @astoriedstyle.
